I´m useing only natural and mainly organic materials and natural dyes in attention to the natural ressources.
I use Dyes, mainly grown under biological conditions and traded with fair-trade-conditions. Sometimes I use plant dyes that I've collected myself.
The color palette of natural colors and plant colors is inexhaustible. One color dyed a second time is always different to the first, even if the same recipe is used. But every time the color is beautiful. Natural colors can be freely combined, the colors will never "bite". It is fascinating!

Information about natural dyes:
Basically, wool is dirt repellent and almost self-cleaning. Wash your pieces as infrequently as possible. Often it is enough to do a quick rinse with water. The felting of wool is a great risk when washing. Sudden changes in temperature and too much movement of the pieces in water favors the felting. Hence the wool slightly and do not wring. For best drying lay flat on a towel and do not dry in the sun.
When knitting and spinning with naturally dyed wool, it may happen that you have color on the fingers. Also when washing, the products can still 'bleed'. Despite careful dyeing and washing, this is not always to be avoided. I therefore recommend the products to be washed separately.
Natural dyes have basically the same light fastness as synthetic dyes. In any case, the pieces are not for a prolonged period of sun exposure. A longer storage should be made only in a closed box.
It´s the best to wear your things frequently and enjoy your work and the beautiful natural colors!
